We hope to post useful plugins for Smarty Templating system for any developer to use. Granted most are simply authorized adaptations of php scripts that some other genius created, and these geniuses( or is it geni?) are always properly noted.

Do You Know, or are you, a web design genius? 

 When I started in this line of work I read tons of blogs, tutorials and studied the work of designers I consider genius. So, I'm putting together a repository of profiles of designers who are considered genius! If you know one or consider yourself to be one (If you're good you can't hide it!) go to http://webdesigngeni.us and submit their name and I'll request their information for the site. ADDED DEC 28th 2006:
The Unobtrusive AJAX Star Rating Bar by Ryan Masuga of Masuga Design. I adapted the script to allow for placing of it within Smarty templates. View the plugin for some direction. Basically, you'll put Ryan's plugin to work like you would in a strictly php environment but then you'll use the plugin to insert it into your templates. I tried to make it fairly flexible by allowing for parameters that I could foresee would be nice to adjust from the template environment.

UPDATE APR 2nd 2007:
I've had a number of emails with questions about where the smarty examples are located in the package. I guess I need to put some instructions in the readme? So I have, but just in 1.2.2. Nick Garland was good enough to bring the 1.2.2 version to my attention so I pumped out the update and tried to add better notes. Check the readme and the plugin itself.

I'll add a little update form in a couple of weeks if you want to be automatically notified of an update in the script. Also if you run across any other cool scripts like Ryan M's, let me know and I'd be more than happy to look at converting it to smarty.
